During our years in the field we have discovered that many companies jump into their projects without performing preliminary conceptual engineering where they state what they expect and how it will be achieved.

Pre-define when to abandon or to continue the project in each stage. As a consequence, many companies cancel their projects and develop an institutional fear to change an innovation. Performing these steps in a consistent manner allows the company to evaluate and compensate the risks associated to change.

The detail engineering quality varies from one engineering company to another; more so, in projects requiring a large amount of innovation, so it is vital to keep in mind the results of previous stages.

We have been witnesses of many occurrences where detail engineering does not follow the conceptual stage at all, in some cases in direct opposition of the conceptual engineering. The result becomes unpredictable.

Sometimes components are operated above their capacity; sometimes production requirements are not met. This is mostly assigned to what is called the learning curve, which indeed exists and is measurable. The more you follow the conceptual engineering the shorter the learning curve and the smaller the associated cost.

We help you develop prototypes with your own team.

The construction and test of prototypes is an invaluable tool in the development process. More so if these tests can subject the prototype to conditions that will exceed the expectations for at least one or two standard deviations. It has become traditional, for many companies, to sell the equipment without prototype testing, making the client perform the tests in their own installations and absorbing the associated cost. Contracts, with smart small print, cover their liability sometimes, but at the end, the client has to troubleshoot the new equipment, generating an improvisation stage that produces off-standard equipment that can cost problems with spares and operation in later years.

Development of new products.

We help you in developing new products. The construction and test of prototypes and the troubleshooting of the same, sometimes produces new products that can be marketed independently of the original project.
